Wixey has an upgrade read-out available for their planer scale. It's $20.00 for the unit. I just installed mine yesterday and it is much easier to read due to the angle and has a brighter display. It's easy to install and has a larger battery.
If you upgrade you can purchase another scale for $10.00. Then you can build a blade / bit set scale or a DP depth scale using the old read-out.
Any other suggestions as to what could be done with the old one will be appreciated.
