    Dismantling the Triton MOF001 Router

I wrote a web page a while back about dismantling the larger TRA001 router and I've now written a similar page on the smaller machine, the MOF001. This was done for a member of another forum, but it may help someone here too.

There are distinct design differences in the fine adjustment mechanism of the two routers, involving extra steps on the MOF001 from the bigger brother (TRA001).

Anyway, if you're interested, the page is here. HTH

    Update:

The pages are now updated to include links to parts diagrams, part/key numbers to relevant parts and a detailed picture and text description of dismantling the plunge handle winding gear assembly. HTH

        Ray,

That is a very informative site and well done but... when you put the router back together did it still work?

I did it mostly for a guy in Australia who had dropped his router on the plunge winder handle and had sent it away for repair. The repair guy said that it was near impossible for anyone to consider parts replacement in this machine a DIY job. As you can imagine, that was a catalyst, so out came the (very few) tools!

Since I dry-lubed all the gears (PTFE Spray) when re-assembling, not only did it work OK, it worked even more smoothly!
