    Ridgid Bandsaw, check your prices!

I was at the borg on Tuesday and looked at the Ridgid 14" bandsaw (never received a reply on the Foley Belsaw, and it was gone that evening). I am just going to watch for a while (no real need), but I saw a price tag at the top of mine that said $309. I am wondering if they are dropping the price, dropping the saw, loosing the display (which still had two other $36+ tags), or just made a mistake and left a sale tag on.

Going to try to check it today, but on 12's the next several days.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

If you are talking about the BS1400, looks like it's being replaced with a new model (R474).

Here's a blurp about it from a Wood Magazine Blog:

I hope the build quality of the new model is a lot better than the BS1400. (yes, still bitter about it!!)

Is the ridgid model not a good one? I had always thought I should go for it whenever (if !) I ever get lucky and get to buy a BS.

I've had my Ridgid 14" for about a year now. . .only issue I've got is I can't get my resaw capability trued up (my issues). Other than that, great saw!
Enco 12" RT table saw(with router table currently added to right wing), Central Machinary 6" jointer, Delta 16" (17-900) drill press, Ridgid 14" bandsaw, Jet bench top Mortising machine, Porter Cable 6901 series routers (2) and a wide variety of Ryobi 18v tools.
