    I don't consider the amount of snipe I'm getting to be a big problem, but I'm going to follow those great recommendations anyway. Thanks, all.

    The 4 boards range in size from 13-1/2" to about 27". The recommended minimum size is 14".

    I thought the operator's manual was pretty good, but there's not a single mention of using a sled. It DID say that the best result is obtained if one of the faces is already planed.

      I adjusted my tables by putting 2 nickels under each of 2 levels on the main table and clamping them in place with the head assy. Then adjusted the tables to just touch the levels and, no noticible snipe.
      I do try to not plane anything shorter than about 24".
      Anyway, it works for me.
      And the Indi-cut feature was right on from the factory and is a most valuable feature IMO.
