I got a set of these from HF a long time ago. When I used them in plywood I noticed that it burned the wood as it cut through. It was for a construction project do this was not a big deal. I have looked at the prices for quality hole saws at the borg - the prices are a LOT more.

If I used them a lot I would buy a good set.

Not too long ago, I picked up this set:

Liked the price for the variety in the set. Only one I've used so far, the 1inch, had a slight wobble, but cut well enough (using electric drill). Have yet to try them in my DP. But I intended these to be plywood cutters and have hopes they'll work out. As for clean holes in wood solids up to 2inch diameter, I will probably stick to using these in the DP (with a sacrificial table underneath) which were recently on sale in the $30 range, I believe -
