I got a Delta model 34-670 sans the fence for $25. Funny thing is, I talked to my father the same evening and he is still using this same model that he bought roughly 20 years ago. We compared serial numbers, and they are only 5 different. So, 20 years later, father and son have table saws that were most likely built on the same day.
Picked up a new (to me) TS

That's a really neat story. Prolly made on the same day by the same crew. Good luck and enjoy!Last edited by Knottscott; 05-11-2008, 01:29 PM.Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

How far apart do you guys live? Would be even more striking if they weren't in the same shipment to a store 20 years ago.- David

fencing
Just a quick note to say that you can still get a good fence for your twin saw. I picked up (well it took 2 of us!) a model 34-338 old table saw without fence at a yard sale last November, since it reminded me of the one I learned on at my father-in-law's shop. I was able to buy a Biesemeyer fence on sale at Lowes. I needed to do some head scratching and drill a few more holes to install the fence, but it works very well. There are some articles on restoring these old saws floating around the internet in case you need to do any work on it.
