Buy or don't buy, I bar clamps

Is this a bargain, or is this one of your least used clamps (been needing some clamps for cauls right now and these came up).

    Thanks

Those would be used in the same situtations as you would use pipe clamps. I've never priced them so I can't say if that's a bargain or not.

Depending on how well they are made, some I-bar clamps have a tendency to bend as pressure is applied. HF clamps do this. Had some, got rid of them.

        Great clamps

        Hi,

I have several of these clamps. They are very heavy duty and kind of heavy so I dont use them when a pipe clamp will do the job. Here is a site with prices.

Have you heard the saying..."You can never have enough clamps"? Pappy is right, you can use them just like pipe clamps. The price quoted is about half of retail, so it's a pretty good deal.

As for bending a clamp, a well fitted joint shouldn't need that much pressure. Some joints can be overstressed by too much pressure.

Dont know these but if they are the same as pipe clamps you can get a 3/4 pipe clamp for less than $18.

I've never used the Jorgy bar clamps so I know not of which I speak, but at that price I sure do like parallel clamps like the Jets, Stanleys, or Bessies.

I didn't see the CL posting, but steel I beam clamps (not aluminum like hf) are far superior to pipe clamps. The rectangular bar shape can take way more pressure than a round steel pipe without bending. If farily inexpensive, I'd jump on them.

They were gone, he just hadn't removed the listing. (what I seem to hit 90% of the time)
