Does anyone know if the box stores have ring shank nails for this gun?
The local rental place has this to rent but the guy I talked to this morning didn't seem to know much about it or if they had any ring shank nails for it.

you need clipped head, 28*, collated, ring shank nails. I have bought ring shank stick nails at HD before but they wern't clipped head.
Bostitch lists them so they do exist.

There is a bostich that uses full head nails, we own one. Just sayin....

Try your local HF. I have seen a lot of different types at different times, but it seems to be hit or miss as what types when. Just make sure the angle is correct and they are wire collated as shown in the link Tom provided. You will be able to use clipped head or full head in that gun.

They do at my local Lowe's, but I buy the smooth shank for my F28WW. Same framing gun as far as I know. I try to use Bostitch nails only but, you may find them in a different brand that will work. (Senco, Porter Cable, etc...)

Well, I checked with the place that rents the tool and they do not have any RS nails.
So, went to the blue box, they had a 2k box of 3" for $36...but I don't need that many and that is longer than what I wanted. Went to the BORG and they had a box of 500 for $13.50. That's about how many I need. They want $32 day for rental. So, I bought the box of nails and will rent the tool from the other place(at $25 per day), when I need it, and that place is closer to work anyway. The plan is coming together.
