    Jet 22-44

I have decided on the JET 22-44 drum sander. Now for the problem. I can't find anyone who will ship to Alaska! If anyone knows of a way to get one shipped to me please advise.

    Thanks, Cork

Hello from a former Alaskan. I spent 17 years in the Anchorage area and from 81 to 86 living at Big Lake working for Burkshore Marina.

Now a possible answer to your question:
I called Equipment Sales & Surplus where I bought my Jet 12-20. They do not ship to Alaska but will deliver to the shipping terminal of your choice here in Seattle.
Neil quoted me $1,180.00 delivered to the terminal for the 22-44 less a $50.00 mail in rebate.

A downside of living in The Great Land.

Whaler's suggestion is probably the most reasonable unless you know someone who is driving a truck up the Alcan.

      Good luck, Steve

        Humor me,

I read this twice. Thanks for the laugh Whaler! The First time I read it, I thought you were telling him to order you a wedding present.

I been smiling all day thinking of that.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

          An added note for Cork . . . .

If this is any help ... Alaska Industrial Hardware carries some Jet tools and I believe that Hardware Specialties also does. I don't know if either caries the Jet 22-44, but it might be worth a check.

And I thought winter was over . . . what's with the return of the cold.

          Good luck, Steve.

            Steve,

I have Mike Johnson ( AIH outside saleman) looking into a price and shipping on a stock order for me already. Thanks for the information though. Dick is also working on a deal in Washington for me as well. We should meet someday. I never get to close to Anchorage but would do so if I got an invite. You are always welcome here!
