Jet table saw model JBTS-10LS-2?

Hi:
I'm thinking of buying this table saw (my first), which is on sale at HD for 249.99 plus free shipping. Anyone have any experiences with this model? Also, I am wondering if this is a good price.

It's pretty small (18"d) and light (< 80#) with a universal motor, but it is belt drive. Never used one, but from looking at their webiste and reading comments from owners, it seems to be a slight step up from others in the class, but will suffer the same side effects of being small and light. If you need portability those are attributes, but they're also the kind of issues that make saws in this class stepping stones to bigger and better down the road, making it a more expensive route in the long run.

If price is the motivating factor, I'd look into a good used saw or save longer, but if the size is what appeals, others do seem to like it.
