Jointers

Hi guys,

I was looking to get a Grizzly 6" jointer with spiral head. This is the link to it.

Trouble is that the item is out of stock until at least 4/13

Given that I am looking for something that might have a similar price point. I would like to stay with the spiral head since I truly suck at getting my jointer blades set correctly. That might have been cause of the old jointer that I have but I have been soured on the whole process.

Can you guys do the following for me?

1) Is there any reason that you know of that I should not get this jointer. Is there something about grizzly products or support and service that I should know before buying?

2) Is there another jointer that has a similar feature set that it near the same price point that you would recommend?

Can't speak to that particular model, but I couldn't be happier with my Grizzly G0478 Tablesaw. Had one small problem (I think from shipping) and Grizzly had me taken care of with a new part at my door in 2 days. Tech support I spoke with was also great.

Try Sunhill Machinery they are made by Gee - Tech who makes tools for many brands.
http://www.sunhillmachinery.com. They have a 6" jointer on sale for $395, and a spiral head for it @ $149.
