    Stroke Sanding

For all of you that dislike the sanding process, a stroke sander could be your relief.

It may sound like overkill for the hobbyist, but they do a fantastic job QUICKLY. For a production shop it allows a fast, precise sanded finish. The basic principle is that a panel is placed under the belt, it is table raised to a close proximity of the belt. A hand plate above the belt is then used to apply even pressure across the surface.

They're made in varying sizes, and are fairly narrow and can be set up against a wall.

    Ya think?!

For $1,700 I can deal with my methods of sanding.

For a production shop maybe. But since most folks here weren't willing to pay more than $350 for their table saw and have small ship, this is definitely over the top.
