Hitachi Belt Sander Arrived

My sander came in yesterday to replace the old and ailing Delta. During assembly I pulled the table off the Delta and mounted it on the disc side of the Hitachi. No neede to move the table back and forth.



Do plan to break it down for a good cleaning and paint to match.

The good cleaning I can see Pap....but paint to match???? Come on Pap, you been delievering mail to too many designer homes shipmate.
What was the cause of death on the Delta? Curious because I have one and want to look out for the symptoms. Pat

The cleaning is needed, the paint will only take a few extra minutes.

Pat, the Delta still runs but the belt won't lock into a vertical position. (Wobbles front to back) It did this once before and I was able to tighten it up after some disassembly but I don't remember exactly what the problem was. I may tear into it just to see if it can be fixed. If so, I will take some pictures of the problem/solution and post them.
