    How to sharpen a scraper

I have 3 of these I got for Christmas and have been using. I bought a burnishing tool today to put the edge back on them but don't have any good instructions. Would anyone like to share a good tutorial on how to put the edge back on a card scraper? Thanks.

Take a look at episode 14 of the wood whisperer. Everything you need to know.

The only problem with this show is that the host is way too young. How much can he really know

Thanks, I have to spend some time practicing but it looks fairly straight forward.

It is the practice that does it. If I go any stretch in between, I lose it.

It definitely takes practice. I couldn't get a good hook at first, until I finally put some extra effort in the first burnishing step to get the edge nice and thin. Putting on the hook is then a trivial matter. Also improved my result by flattening the scraper on the Work Sharp machine. But I still mess up 25% of the time.
