    WooHoo! (CL Gloat)

I spent four hours on the road today and $185 but I have returned with a Delta 8" drill press mounted on a 6' galvanized pipe - no stooping to mortise and.........
a Jet JJ-6 jointer from 1984! Both units operate really well from when I tested them at the owner's homes.
Now to clear out the garage and set up shop! (Maybe sometime in the next year )
    End Gloat

          LOL, silly....
Pics!!! Now remember that the Jet is from 1984 according to plate on the motor and drill press is from the 90's. Still some rust spots to clear up, but for now a coat of wax has been applied to limit any more corrosion and they are being stored until the "garage project" begins. The motor and stand are not pictured for the jointer but have been since re-assembled and are taking up more space in the garage.

It was roughly 6', it is actually a few inches shorter, but it puts the workpiece for me at a comfortable level. As for how much taller - I've seen benchtop drill presses that have the 2' or so pipe, but this is a floor model style.
