    Kreg bandsaw fence

I just installed the Kreg Bandsaw fence on my HF 14" bandsaw and noticed that even when the main rail is fully resting on the the bolts used to mount it to the table, when I place the main body of the fence that rides on the main rail, that main body sits above the table top by about 1/16 of an inch. This is even with all the nylon adjustment screws fully retracted into the main body. The main rail sits proud of the bottom of the miter slot by approx 1/16". Has anybody else experienced this, and how did you fix this? Is it that big of an issue?

The only way to fix it is to tap new holes in the table under the existing ones, or to elongate the holes in the main rail.

I have the same fence, different saw. My fence sits low enough that when I tighten the screw, it rests on the table.

FYI - the HF table is thinner than most "name-brand" BS's. That is probably the cause.

I think it is easier to slot the mounting points on the fence, and go from there. If you retap the table, you might get too close to the original points, and you might jeopardize the strength of the holes.
