    Opinons - Craftsman 10 in. CMS w/Stand - 132.99

Craftsman 10 in. Compound Miter Saw with Stand...$189.99
    http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...ame=Miter+Saws

It's a clearance item and with the current deal, I can get a total of 30% off (132.99

Should I jump or wait for something better? Reviews are positive, and capacity is fine for my expected use.

That's a pretty good price for a 15 AMP saw. I've got the model #212100, and have used it regularly for 6-7 years with no complaints. I paid about $180 for mine without a stand. You'll probably want to change out the blade to a 60T or 80T if you're planning to do trim work.

I have one and like it quite a bit. It has tons of power and it holds it's settings. It does have a couple of issues. I wish it were double bevel. Mine tends to collect sawdust around the table and has to be cleaned from time to time or it starts to bind.

I own the 21253 10 CMS and it's the biggest waste of money tool in my shop. It can't make an accurate bevel cut unless I'm super picky about how I lower the blade arm. It loads up the table swivel mechanism with sawdust far too easily which means I have to clean it after every single use or it soon makes the swivel almost impossible to use. No recommendation here, Craftsman miter saws are very poorly designed IMO.

I have one that looks very similar to that one - model 24315 - owned it for about 10 years and paid $199 for it. Has worked well for me, no complaints. Did put a better blade on it. For $133 I would jump on it.

Well, on a rare whim, I asked for my change back in lotto scratchers yesterday at the quickymart. $4 became $100 so I've rationalized the CMS down to $33 - Can't pass on that.

The 12" version can be had for 159.00 with the current savings, so I might go that way.

              I have a 10"....Many times I've wished I had the 12"

You may not think you need it now, but I'll bet you find different down the road.

Yep...might want to consider the 12" depending on what you'll be doing with it. I have one and have wished it were 16" on occasion.
