Freud biscuit cutter

I got a Lowes gift card for Christmas been thinking about using it to buy a Freud biscuit cutter for $99.I thought I'd ask if any one had this and if they are happy with it.model number is JS100a

Everything I've ever read about Freud joiners pretty much says the JS102 is worth buying and the JS100 isn't.

I have the js100 and would suggest almost any other machine.
The adjustment procedure is very time consuming and difficult. The dust port has to be reworked before its useful. (They seemed to think a reinforcement was needed dead center of the port which instantly clogs.)
These are the first of my complaints to come to mind and are really just my opinions.

I have the Frued JS 100 Have used 300+ biscuits it seems to work fine. At $100 bucks WHAT do you want?

Good point red dog. It's a $100.00 tool. I'm a Freud distributor and I would not reccomend it.

Sorry Freud but you get what you pay for.

I've never used a biscuit jointer before , I just built some picture frames that I could've used one on.my first impression was the fence was a little awkward hence my questioning before buying.I guess I'll use the gift card for something else.
