Delta drum sander

I am going to stop and look at this on the way home from work tonight. Thoughts and opinions please. It comes with 6 boxes of sand paper and has very little time on it at all.

Check the clips holding the paper in the drum for fatigue cracks where the knurl pin holds it into the drum. It gave our a couple of days after I bought it and a new drum and bearings are about $200. Otherwise, mine has been a good machine.

I did, I did. The lady that was offering it had given her husband his walking papers right before Thanksgiving. He took his other tools out of the garage but must have forgotten this piece he had in the basement. I bought it for $400 and it came with the mobile base, an additional drive belt and 6 boxes of different grit sandpaper. The kicker to the deal was it is 4 years old and has never been used.

Man, I am *so* glad I didn't jump on that yesterday morning when it hit CL. I just hope that he intentionally left it there, because when he comes back for it and finds she sold it, don't be surprised if the sherrif's office comes to get it back from you.
If not, and it works out for you, then you got a really good deal, approx $1100 worth of stuff for $400.

I also liquidated the lady of 100BF of Walnut that is all rough sawn 4/4 ranging from 4"Wx3'L to 14"Wx8'L. Not the greatest of quality but for small projects it will work just fine. Final cost $50

How do you have a drum sander and not use it over a 4 year period?!? One of my favorite tools.
