Grizzly G0478 Owners...Zero Clearance Insert ?

I know there are a few owners of the Grizzly hybrid around here now. My question is...
Has anyone purchased the Zero Clearance Insert from Grizzly? I was planning on just making my own, but the little metal clip on the back of the stock insert has me wondering if its possible.

Anyone who owns a Grizzly zero clearance insert, can you take a picture of the bottom side or just describe the layout? Is there are retainer clip like the stock insert?

On my TS3650 the insert has that tab on the back that you mention (I think that's what you mean). I simply put a small screw near the bottom of the insert and clipped off the head, works fine.

The grizzly has a metal spring clip that is spot welded to the top surface of the stock insert. It slips under the back surface that supports the insert. I'll try and get a picture, its hard to explain.

Can you substitute a small wooden tab for the clip?

Grizzly's website shows these pics...looks a bit like the old Emerson made inserts from Craftsman. Griz shows 13-15/16" x 3-11/16"

You're right, I probably could substitute a snug fitting wooden tab for the metal clip. Just curious what the actual Grizzly version was like. I could also drill and tap the back ledge where the clip would typically go.
