    Jet 10" cabinet saw

    CL listing in Columbus. Would like opinions please.

    Please don't buy it out from under me, I have first dibs according to the guy and go to see it at 4PM after work.

      I've used a slightly newer, blue Jet cab saw that I thought was pretty nice. $500 for a working 3hp Jet cab saw in good condition seems fair, but keep in mind that depending on age, the older Taiwanese machines were not as well respected as in more recent years....not sure what era marked their noted improvement though. It'd be worth checking on the actual age. You may want to upgrade the fence, but trialing it is the best way to find out if you like it. Even if you shell out another $200-$250 for a fence upgrade, minus an anticipated $75-$100 for selling the existing fence, it'd be a pretty good buy if in good condition.

      It's not likely that you'll find more saw for $500, but it's worth asking what he'll take for it. My suggestion is to check it out and follow your gut.

          My dad has a Jet saw that looks exactly like that one. He has been using his for 20+ years in his cabinet business and has never had a problem as far as I know.
