    Husky Quiet Series air compressor

I see this air compressor at HD and have read review on newwoodworker.com.

Any real life experience with this one or a recommendation for something else to look at?

Thanks. Hope everyone has a safe holiday.

I have the small model, but it's my first compressor so can't really compare it to anything else. When going from lowest to highest setting, I wouldn't really say the volume of noise changes, but it goes from a low-pitch grumble to a higher pitched grumble. The lower pitched sound is certainly more bearable for me and is usually the setting I use. I've used it for smaller jobs and it does fine. I've used it with a critter spray gun-nette to paint about 5 doors and it kept up fine.

Just to put in a say-so about compressors! My 33gal SEARS just "went south" on me and am in the process of shopping for another one. This time I want an upright since shop space is rather limited. The only real thing I insist on is an "oil lubed" since the oiless are so d**n noisy. We have a new Tractor Supply opening next week; they seem to have a good selection so am waiting till then. Who knows they might have an "opening" special. We will see.

        compressor

        Thanks for the replies.

Always hate to buy without some info!

I have seen a few bad reviews of the Craftsman line of compressors. That's a shame as most of my hand tools are Craftsman.
