Bandsaw Riser Blocks

Just a question -- why in the world do the riser block kits cost 1/3rd the cost of the saw itself ? $120-130 for the Delta 14" saws ? Wow.

Any cheaper alternative out there ?

I used a Grizz kit for my Ridgid BS1400, about $60
http://www.grizzly.com/products/H3051. Fits Jet and PM but I am not sure about Delta.

I bought one for a Jet at the local tool place for my Ridgid for $50.

Also bought a Grizz for my Ridgid BS. Was about $60 including shipping and I got 100 SS screws for free. Moral to the story: there are cheaper alternatives out there. At the time I priced them, the Ridgid factory riser kits were going for 3-4 times more than the Grizz model (which fits perfectly I might add). See if you can find another Chiwainese model that will work.
