Craftsman 1617 router, Bosch 1618

Has anyone replaced the pigtails (plug) on their Bosch or Craftsman Bosch routers?

I picked up the last Bosch/Craftsman router at Sears last night for $85, with the intent of using it in my D handle 1618 (non soft start model) base. I can cut the cord shorter, but am hoping it's the same body and an easy swap.


Asking before I disassemble something brand new.
