Different way to make the "Square Checker"

Good day

When I posted Steve's "Square checker" on another forum, somebody suggested to make it with wheels...so, I did...

I used 6 mm (1/4") dowels because the Hole Saw is drilling 6 mm at the wheel centre.
The dowels are getting into the holes so tight that I even use dowel instead of bolt to sand the wheels as you will see on the pics.

Rollers?

The implimentation I saw of this tool had sharp points on the ends of the sticks. What do the rollers add?

The wheels are adding - precision...

With the sharp points version, the sharp point edge, should have a "virtual" zero dimension width and I noticed that what works on the drawing board with lines (that also has some width), does not work in the actual case.

The wheels are touching also only on one point but, at the same point for all different angles between the long arm and the short arm points.

Another "by-product" of the wheels version is that, the short arm wheel will not touch the corner and the glue squeeze-out at the corner.
