    I didn't say you can't find blades -- HD has them at all times I think. Good high quality blades that make a clean cut with minimal splintering is what I was referring to.

    Also, regarding depth of cut I think it's more like 1-5/8, plenty for 2x stock but not enough for 8/4 rough stock. At least that is what the built in depth guage indicates.

      I went by HD at lunch and they had the upgrade kit on display (one battery plus the charger for $99), so unless there is another sku coming with 2 batteries and a charger for that price, then the drill/flashlight/2 batteries and charger for $149 seems like the way to go to me.

        I'm impatient. I bought the $99 battery and charger. The LiOn battery works as advertised and has a bit more power than any of my old batteries. I especially like the way it holds a charge longer than the old batteries.
