    Ole Stanley #5

Nice Type 16 (1933-1941) No.5. The jappaning is around 98%. One side has a little bit of spotting but it isnt real noticeable and definately won't affect use. The blade is full length and I dont believe it has ever been honed or sharpened because the original bevel is still there.

It sure slices nicely, I had to test it before honing the blade, lots of pretty full length curlies.

The #78 in the background I picked up on EBay. the seller said it was his Grandfathers.

Really nice Ken! The whole scene looks like a pic out of a woodworking mag!
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

Beaut Ken, I'm keeping an eye out for a #5 myself at the moment. Good snag.

          Ken,
If you slip down that slope any faster, you'll need skis.

I've got two #5's which were a garage sale find for $10.00 each. They are different years, and need some work to refurbish them. Not as nice as yours.
