    Delta BS Dust Collection Accessory

I know this is a little late for Steve (sorry ).

I'm only posting this so that it might be a help to someone else with a Delta BS.

Delta makes an accessory for DC on their BS's ($35'ish available from Iturra) and it actually works a LOT better than I ever thought it would......

The really nice thing is that the hose exits out the back of the saw ....

If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

My Delta bandsaw is only about a year old and actually has a 4" dust port on that side of the saw -- though not the same type of shroud that you have pictured below. It just didn't collect enough of the dust and I still ended up with a lot down in the bottom.

I'm trying to decide how whether or not to run a 4" line to the new port I installed and the old one as well -- or just do what the mag article said and cap off the old one.

Thanks for the pictures though. I'd like to take a look at that as maybe I can incorporate that kind of shroud to get better air flow and dust collection for the port I did create.
