    Speaking of saw blades...WWII 30T

Thought I'd share my initial thoughts on the 30T WWII.

The 40T WWII is very popular, but we hear very little about the 30T version, which happens to be on my saw right now. I snagged a 30T WWII TK for $64 from Amazon that just arrived a couple of days ago. It's got the same tooth geometry as the 40T, but has 25% fewer teeth. Fewer teeth equates to larger gullets, more efficient ripping, faster feedrates, and typically a rougher cut. The downside of course is the rougher cut, but so far, it's barely noticeable compared to the 40T, even with crosscuts, and is clean enough for glue ups as is. It was even good in plywood. It'll rip much of the thick stock that I tend to rip with a 24T ripper but leaves a notably smoother cut than the ripper. So far I'm loving the easy feedrate and can't help but wonder if it'd be a better choice for alot of people than the 40T version. It's like using the 40T with a motor upgrade.

Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.
