I recently received this jig and decided to clean it off and set it up today. Went through the instructions and everything seemed okay but the movement from side to side seems really rough. Seems like because it's riding on two rails it tends to bind. I tried to adjust, add lithium grease etc.. etc.. but doesn't seem to help too much. Is this normal with these jigs? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

I have that jig and haven't seen the problem you're describing. Make sure you've read the manual a couple of times though - it took me a few minutes to figure out which quick release loosened up which part of the adjustable base.-Joe -
You might want to see if there is a metal burr between the sliding faces. If you haven't completely disassembled it to get the gunk out between the faces, that could be it also.

Thanks for the comments guys. Let me clarify. I have no problems when I use the knob for the micro adjustment but the problems come to play while trying to utilize the quick release movement. I guess in actual use the quick release won't be used to much? Haven't used it at all yet so I don't really know.Comment
