    Bent Wrench for Router Table

Before I go out and buy ($24) a bent router wrench (changing bits from the top of the table) I wanted to see if anyone had an innovative idea on making a wrench or modiying a flat router wrench (thought of that but not sure its a good idea to go bending the wrench).

$24 Where are you getting those prices.

Sommerfield Tools has bent wrenches for about $15

I bought one for my M12V for above the table changes like you are going to do.

    Best $15 I spent!

If I remember correctly shipping aint cheap from Sommerfield.

Edit : Apparently that has changed. The wrench alone ships free!

Oh ya, a lot of TS arbor nut wrenchs come in sizes that fit certain routers. Those wrenchs are nice and flat and could easily be bent. Having said that $15 is not bad from Sommerfield.

Thanks, Sommerfield it is. Not worth breaking a wrench for $15. Prices I got were for CMT wrench. Apparently one of the guys there invented the thing.

Sommerfield used be pretty closely related to CMT products, ie everything they carried was CMT. They decided to go out on their own line and I guess we see the advantage.

I use a regular wrench (on my Triton) - doesn't need to be bent (?)

As you know, the Triton collet comes up futher through the base than most other routers. My guess is that he is not using a Triton.

Correct, its an Hitachi M12V2, although I would love to have the big Triton.

Is the correct wrench for the Hitache m12 the 21.03 mm?
                    Thanks

I bent my M12V wrench by heating it with a torch. It worked out fine, but, I figured if I messed it up I would just order the ready made bent one.

I ordered the 23mm (15/16") bent wrench from Sommerfield. The flat wrench that came with it has a "23" stamped on it and I measured it as well before I ordered.
