    wide board on 6" jointer

    Hi everybody

There was a thread a while back about jointing a wider board by removing the jointer's guard and jointing each side individually. I am trying this but can't seem to get both sides parallel. What happens is that the cut is always deeper on one side of the board, particularly on the ends. There must be some excellent secret to making this work.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
