    Harbor Freight $.79 well spent

Dropped by HF today and they happened to have one of their frequent sidewalk sales going on. Among other things I picked up a 6" stainless steel pocket ruler for $.79. I discovered after I got home that on the back of this little ruler is a conversion table for fractional inches to decimal.

The table converts 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64th inch increments. Pretty neat and especially since I have an Incra jig that is adjustable in .001" increments. Quick translation either way and also useful with a digital caliper when going from decimal to fractional. Not a bargain alert but a neat tool, IMO.

Best part is my wife was with me and was so impressed with the prices she started piling stuff in the cart. Had to stop her for fear I couldn't get it all in the truck.

PS: Wish my shop looked like Kirby's to but........not a chance.

I used to carry one of those in my shop apron just for the conversion table and it makes a nifty scraper. I never used the ruler side of it.
