penn state ind dust collector

does anybody have one of These


i have the chance to buy one for $90 will it be worth it
does it have any pitfalls? with only 850 cfm will it be enough to use with my lathe,tablesaw,drill press, disk sander,and router table?
i've never worked with a dust collector before but i know i need one and this one seems like a good deal @ $90

I have one, for one tool at a time it's good, great on jointers/planers. sb this model DC1BXL-1M (http://www.pennstateind.com/store/dc1bxl-1m.html). older models were available with either 1 or 5 micron bags, 1 being better.

For $90 it's a good a good deal unless you intend to hook it up thru a duct system, then you need something bigger. current list for new one is $240.00. For $90 it's better than a shop vac or nothing for sure.

Morning blame...

For the tools you mentioned it works just fine with direct hook-up and a short run from DC to machine. It will work fine also by Y'ing the 4" to Two 2 1/2" to a router.. miter.. DP.. etc. Keep the TS at 4".

If you have a larger BS.. jointer.. planer.. it won't work find and you need more muscle as Jersey Frank already stated. "Big load.. big hoss- small load.. small hoss"...
