    Vibration

You should not have any vibration. You sated you "finally" put it together. My guess is like the others and the problem is with the belts. The other reason could be that it is not mounted to the floor correctly. If it is sitting on the floor and not bolted down or at least shimmed correctly you will get what "I" call the "Walk of Life". The press will walk on the floor. Check to see if the belts are good and do not have any flat spots on them. One way to check them if the press has been sitting a long time is to just let it run. The hard spots may work out, the first thing to check is the floor mount though. Hope this helps.
    Cork,

I'd take Loring's advise on the link belts ... I switch to them on my 17" DP and noticed a big difference.

Also make sure that your DP is standing on a flat level spot on the floor or shim it so it is as others have already mentioned ... DAMHIK

I ran the drill press last night w/ the belts off and it was practically smooth as silk. When I reattached the belts and started vibrating and is kinda noisy. I guess the culprit are the belts. I'll get them changed as soon as possible (just received an order from Rockler yesterday).
