    my jointer review is up

I realized when I went to post my review of the Jet 8" JJ-8CS that I basically never see new reviews posted because I have my brower setup to go straight to the discussions section...

SOooo.....for those of you in the same boat, if you are interested I posted a review of my new jointer. It took a while to get it setup due to being stupidly busy at work. I can't wait to share what I'd doing there with the world either.

It's in the reviews section, questions are comments are encouraged, as always....

    Morning Keith...

Congratulatkions on your new addition. I think you will find you made a good investment by going to the 8" and it's extra capabilities. The extra long table is a major plus in itself.

But.... I read twice of the great buy but I must be missing something here. I did not see the price you paid in either of the two related threads. Did I miss something in my old age or did you not mention it?

    Regards...

Thanks Sarge, you aren't going senile, I haven't posted the prices. I have been teaching classes and doing demos at the local Rockler for a while, and through them I have had access to 2 Jet/Powermatic friends and family tool purchases. Out of respect for them and the Rockler I haven't posted the prices. I do however feel that price paid is a major component in considering a tool, so I felt the need to mention that I got them at atypical prices.

It's not motivated by a back handed gloat, if it were a general sale, I'd have posted it. If you are DYING to know, PM me. ;-)

        Morning Keith...

Sorry for the belated reply as BT3 has not been available on my computer since Friday I believe as I have been trimming the house and lost track of time.

I was just curious as to what you paid and it's not really a big deal. More power to you as it falls into a "you don't have a need to know" category. The important issue is you got a 8" jointer and I think you will find it will pay for itself regarless of what you paid!

Again... ENJOY your reward for your efforts.....

        Regards...
