    15" Planer Question

    Which 15" Planer will give me the most bang for the buck? I am looking at one of these: Yorkcraft 15" Planer from Wilke Machinery.



    It would be $829.00 shipped. Is there a better deal out there?

      NO.............................................

      Not on either the 15" or the 20" which I purchased. Both are the same as the Grizzly and the Shopfox and basically the same as Power-matic and SC which come from the same manufacturer but their Tiawan plant instead of China facility.....

              Agreed. YC best deal out there. Typically the fit and finish is very good on their machines. I say typically because I was upgrading from 15" to 20" a few months ago and bought a 20" YC. For some reason there was a fair amount of paint that popped off the iron with light rust under it. Wilke was great in taking it back. I didn't get a replacement and just kept the 15" Delta as I was tired of messing with people bugging me on Craigslist and never following through!
              I still highly recommend the 15" YC.
