    Question about Bladerunner blades

After reading the glowing reports about the Bladerunner resaw blades, I decided to order one and give it a try. I received the blade Friday evening and being out of town yesterday didn't get a chance to try it until today. Problem is I can't get it on my saw ( 12" jet that takes 82" blades). I have the tension completely off so the top wheel is sitting on the frame and still can't get it on. I ordered an 82" blade (which I was told they had in stock) and all my 82" TimberWolf blades fit. Did I just get unlucky and get a defect(short) blade or does one need to order these blades a little longer for some reason? I'm sure they will fix my problem Tomorrow when they are open but I'm just wondering if I missed something in ordering.

    Update.

Well the story is, the blade was too short. I don't know the reason but it only measured 81 3/8", the other part of the story is they replaced the blade with no questions ask. I received the replacement blade Monday but didn't get to try it out until today. All the glowing reports about this blade as a resaw blade are true. I've been happy with my 1/2" Timberwolf blade for resawing but it can't measure up to the Bladerunner for speed of cut or smoothness of cut. It is also less noisy. I haven't tried any of their other blades but the Bladerunner will be my choice for resawing from now on.

They are impressive. I recently got one of their carbide blades but haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Who stocks the Bladerunner's. Can't seem to remember seeing them in usual array of catalogs. Thanks.

Iturra Design. Ken Massingale has better info (he had a rather lengthy chat with Louis Iturra) but I think Ken said that they came from the same factory as the Wood Slicer but my memory isn't what it used to be.
