    It's A Conspiracy

    Greetings All

I'll tell ya, it is a darn conspiracy!!

Why is that only after a project is complete does Lee Valley have a new tool in their catalog that would have made said project go easier?

Case in point from this month's catalog I find this. Which I could have really used on the deck project I completed last fall.

I think our good friend Murhpy is in cahoots with Lee Valley.

    Cheers

I use a block of wood with a double headed nail or a screw and a wooden wedge.

Those similar units have been sale for years
Look at Rockler (their unit doens't use the sharp wedge to engage the board it uses a set of "jaws" but same concept

I empathize, but also acknowledge its some sort of the 'sore thumb' syndrome (ie, the sore thumb does not stick out, it's just that every small nick feels like a big knock). Once you go thru that special pain in a project and wish somebody had invented something specifically for it, you would notice said item easier than before.

Of course, murphy's conspiracy is still not ruled out
