    New HF sharpener?

Anybody taken a look at one of these yet???

    http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95236

I know it's HF, but it sure looks like a knock-off of another I'd see somewhere. For $99, it looks rather interesting.

    Anybody looked at one/bought one?
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

Glad you posted this. Will be watching for a review. At $99 it may end up being like their dc and bandsaw.
I've been looking for something like this for a while but just couldn't pay what they normally sell for. Could be nice.

So, does this mean they FINALLY ran out of that awful green paint ...???

I'm with Steve. If it works well, it could be a good alternative to the units from the big-name makers, most of which I've always regarded as priced pretty steep for what you get.

        Thom,

It's all your fault. I just ordered one. They are not in either of the retail stores near me. I'll let you know what I think when it arrives.

Unlike some other machines, it seems to me that there is little that could be wrong with a slow speed [150] grinder/strop. We'll see.

I couldn't find a % or $ off coupon for the catalog. But, I did find a free $10.00 gift card on over $49.99 purchases. 326-310-984

We'll expect a full review after it's arrived

Not true. I have the other wet grinder they sell. (Still not set up.) First one had a dead motor.

Wellll, I'm not defending HF, but the first 8" slow speed grinder I got at Woodcraft ran backwards!

I can't stand it. Got to get me one, as much as I use chisels for turning. But with its weight, I will have to mail it back here.

I wonder if the big name attachments will work with this model...
