What is the Delta AP075 downdraft table worth? I thought these had been clearanced out at Lowes around the first of 2006. I had to go to training this week in a city over from where I work and found three available at the local Lowes. I asked the guy over the tool dept. why they still had them and why they weren't being clearanced out. (They were priced at $137.) He looked them up on the computer and wasn't sure why they still had them and didn't know why they weren't on clearance. He went and explained to the manager what was going on and he said that I could have it at $80. Is it worth that? I've seen on here were people has gotten them for $20 and $50.

$20 wouldn't be bad. You can build a box, use 1/4" pegboard for the top, make sure the holes are at least 1/4" dia., slap a 4" DC connector on it and be good to go. Mine works great if I drag it out and use it and that's a big IF.

Yeah, a little peg board (or drill your own) some scrap lumber, a fitting for the DC and you are good to go. Mine works great and I DO use it (well most of the time) anyway. Sealed around all the joints but left the top removeable just in case, can't think of "why" just in case, but I did.RuffSawn

Concerning making your own...
Would you think taking some of the shelf-liner material from say Wal-Mart which has about the same size holes in it would make a good non-slip surface to put onto the 'pegboard' and still allow pleanty of airflow while holding the workpiece steady?
Thank you
