    Mini-Cyclone

Bought the Dust Deputy from Oneida and I was really surprised at how well it works.

Now if I could figure out how to keep the 5 gallon bucket from tipping over.

    I built a mini cyclone on a 5 gallon bucket.What I did was:

I took another five gallon bucket and put a few inches of gravel in the bottom.

Then I put the 5 gallon bucket with the cyclone on it in that bucket.

it is really stable, and allows the bucket with the cyclone on it to rotate around with the hoses.

    Mine hasn't tipped over yet.

I had the same problem, found out that building a stand for the bucket works. That way you can even put rollers on the bottom. One other thing that helped. At first I was using a 2 1/2" dust collector hose from WoodCrafters but found that a regular Shop Vac hose was better since it did not contract under the vacuum.

That is a really great idea! Submit it to Wood Mag and make some bucks.
