Need help buying $2,000 worth of tools!!

Latest info / last minute questions.

I’ll be making my big tool purchase tomorrow, Wednesday, April 11 last day of the sale.

My thinking is that instead of buying a big Band saw, 12" Sliding Miter Saw, 8" joiner, etc. get a bunch of decent tools now. Then when I know what I want / need then buy something bigger. I can always sell my current tool to get back about 50 - 75% of the regular price. With the sale I’ll be getting about 25% off, that means I might actually be able to sell the tool(s) for 75% - 100% what I’m paying.

I feel that Ridgid has a decent line of tools, never really hear anything bad about their stuff. About the worst I’ve seen is a tool rated at average. Their name brand would not hurt if I need to sell a tool.

Have not heard much one way or another about the Ridgid Drill Press, and Ridgid 10" CMS. Would anyone out there care to comment one way or another?!

This leaves about $200 for other stuff.

Ridgid Flip Table 35
Bench Grinder 40 – 100
Misc / Other stuff ?????
Ridgid Trimmer 100

So what are your thoughts?? Open to all suggestions.

Filling up the remaining $200:

If you don't already have a bench grinder, you'll always have use for a cheap 6" version. It'll be useful even if/when you get a better one.

How about an angle grinder?

Do you have a good shop vac? That would be on my list as well, if you don't own a decent sized one or a better chip collector.

I have a bench grinder, in a way. The house came with something that resembles one. AN old motor with a grinding wheel on the side, painted a few two many times, wires with cracking coating, etc. Have not used it since I moved in. I have a CHEAP angle grinder, hardly use it, I'll stick with it for now.

I have an decent sized shop vac (Craftsman). Have a HEPA filter in it.

Don't have time for a major road trip. How about you bring it out to me, I'll buy you a beer for your trouble. Like to hear the story behind those tools. A lot of "new" stuff, but most of it seems like older models.
