Performax band saw carried by (some) Menards
By the way, that Performax 2 speed bandsaw is stocked by some (not all)
Menards stores in the South Bend. IN area. Almost bought one but was hesitant due to uncertainty about parts support.
Would still like to hear from someone who owns one.

the Performax 2 speed 9" band saw from Menards
I received this as a gift from my father who loves to shop at menards ^^. The company that makes this was bought out, so parts and accessories are no longer available. I think this band saw is not worth the room it takes up on my workbench; but as it was a gift , i can not get rid of it. There is only one problem w/ this band saw, it will not cut straight. the blade wanders if you cut anything larger that 1" tall. This lack of precision is due to poor design. The blade guides are cheap pot metal. Made in China, hope this is enough info to keep anyone from buying a used version of this.Comment

Welcome Sucker! Please do not post to old threads. This thread is from 2007, the OP has long since made up his mind as to if he would purchase the saw or not.Donate to my Tour de Cure
