Rust on TS - Boeshield Rust Free??

I was given a used TS and it seems to work fine except for rust on the table. I was planning on using steel wool 000 on the heavy spots and then a scotch brite pad. But I was at sears yesterday and they had a product called Boeshield Rust Free. It was packaged with the T9. Anyone use this product and would recommend (or not) it? Or should I stick with the steel wool/scotch brite method?
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Got it, like it. Wood Mag rated the T9 best at rust prevention.

With it, I would use the green scratch pads!!!!

I tried it, with some steel wool and an old heavily rusted square, from a friends estate. The steel wool and it, don't feel good in any cuts, and are fine enough to cut.

Haven't used the Rust Free product, but sometimes use T9. The T9 does seem to be pretty effective as a protectant.

The last time I cleaned up a rusted table, I used WD-40 and a Scotch Brite type pad. I attached the pad to a 1/4 sheet finish sander and went at it. It's much easier than by hand and not as aggressive as an ROS. Just be sure to keep it moving and check for flatness frequently.
