    Random orbit sander suggestions?

Gentlemen; My old Ryobi RO sander is falling apart, real fast. I am looking at buying another 5". HD is about a 1.5 hour drive. The Rigid looked ok. Bosch or Makita seem to be ok also. What do you guys recommend? Thanks

The Bosch seems to be the most highly reccommended. I have one and it works great. One of the magazines recently had a review, and ranked it best. The other you mention seem to be frequently listed as good as well.

I just got the Klingspor version of the Bosch and like that a lot. The price is better than the Bosch.

Just bought the 3 amps Porter-Cable, it works great, pretty
powerful, dust collection system works great and it came
        with a good case , 59 $ amazon.

          Bosch 1295

Bought the Bosch 1295 based on review at FWW, works great. Need to purchase accessory for dust collection if you want to use inside (my recommendation). The sander moves a lot of fine dust in a hurry using 220+ grit sandpaper. I only sand outdoors with it. Wear a mask in any case.

Bosch 1295 DVS seems to be the consensus.

Yup the bosch 1295 seems to be the clear winner and the best price I have found for it is on the Bosch CPO website reconditioned if you dont mind reconditioned tools.

Thanks guys, appreciate everyone's help. I will probably go with the Bosch. Mojo, thanks for the Bosch cpo site.

Has anyone tried the higher priced electronic variable speed models?
