Seville commercial Workbench

[Sweet Chuck]

I was in Sam's Club a couple weeks ago and saw this workbench. It looks to be pretty well build and the price is hard to beat. It says its a maple top, it doesn't specify hard or soft maple so I would bet its soft maple.

Do any of you own this bench? What do you think about it?

I don't have that one, but it looks good. I could enclose it on three sides
build in some shelves or drawers, install a good ww type of vise and some benchdog holes and put it to work! eezlock

I saw one the other day when I was browsing the store and it looked pretty good. But not too deep. Seemed fairly sturdy, but hard to tell when the thing is on a shelf five feet high.

It is hard to see how you could go wrong. The top alone is worth the price.

Looks like a good deal just for the top. I also thought it was a bit narrow but I would add a tool tray on one or both sides. Depending on the overhang and how it is attached to the legs, installing vises could require some shimming. Enclosing the base should be easy.

Well, I bought one of these one Saturday. It's easy to put together and is well built. Its packaged so well that you would think it was a dining room table. My only complaint is that the top didn't feel 100% flat. I could feel a few waves in it as I ran my hand over it. Its really not that bad especially for the price. I'm planning on buying at least one more of these, if not two.

I purchased two of these tables several months ago along with four of the smaller wheeled cabinets that fit under the table. I find it to be a great system with lots of flexibility because of the moveable cabinets. I even had one of the tables mounted on castors for a while.

The tables are very solid and stable. The wheels on the cabinets are lockable; the cabinets are also solid and stable and can be used as stand-alone work surfaces.

I would recommend them to anyone willing to spend the bucks.
