Hf Roofing Nailer owners

I am thinking about buying a HF roofing nailer with the 30% coupon, but would like to hear from some current owners with their thoughts on it. I own several other HF nailers and have had excellent luck with them, but want to be sure with this one.

I have no idea how they will do on roofs but we bought one last year when we were building crates with luan and 1X stock. Went through a couple thousand roofing nails and never had a misfire.

I had one for about an hour. It kept Jaming up every other nail. LOML took it back and I borrowed a friends. After she left to take it back I discovered someone had unpluged the air compressor and the air was down to 20 lbs!! So they may be OK!! But not on 20 lbs of air!! oops!!

I don't own a HF roofing nailer but I do own their brad, pin and 2 staplers and have had no complaints. The fit and finish may not be as nice and may take a higher compressor pressure that the instructions state but they have all been as solid as my various framing, brad, 15g, 16g nailers from bostich, ridgid, dewalt, and PC.

Mine works fine. Shingled an oversize garage with no problems. Planning on doing the house this summer.

I was going to buy one, then I looked at how much air they use. They may be OK, but for myself, I don't want to go in the roofing biz., so I went on E-Bay, bought a Bostick, used, & when I'm done with it I'll sell it on E-Bay for what I paid for it. In the mean time I have a good one to use. It seemed to make sense to me. Good luck what ever you do.

I decided to hold off on this purchase until I get closer to needed a roofing gun. Thanks for your responses on this!!!
