Not this One
I don't have any info on that DP, but I purchased the 13" floor model and have been very, very pleased with it. HF has a 30 day return policy so not much lost in getting it and if you don't like it, take it back. Check the runout on the chuck and with a long straight shaft in the chuck, if more than .005" runout, return it. Should run pretty quiet if its a good one.

I now have one of the bigger floor-standing HF drill presses, and had a small benchtop one very similar to the one you linked. It worked fine for small things, but the 2" spindle stroke is limiting. The table does not crank up and down, so it takes a bit more fussing to get it set, and with the short stroke it needs to be set pretty carefully. The yellow knobs on the handles kept falling off, and it doesn't have a huge amount of power. But it had very little runout, and drilled clean holes. If you watch for sales, the price is likely to drop to the $40-$50 range, with a bit more off with a coupon. For the price, it will work well: the limitations I mention will require a lot more money to overcome. If what you need is consistent holes drilled accurately but not too deeply on stock that will fit it, it should work fine. I got the bigger one so it could do additional tasks, not because it fell short in the tasks it could do.AlanComment

Thank You for the replies, I guess i'll look for something else, maybe a recon. DeltaIt's got to be us, because there are a lot more of them!Comment

I have one of them
I have it setup beside my scroll saw to drill for internal cuts. Works well for that and could be used for other drilling in other materials. It has very little runout and does everything I need it for. I also have the HF Radial Drill press and use it for all other tasks. Yes, I would buy it again if needed, but have had it 3 years without problems.johnComment
