    Clearvue mini cyclone

I am wondering if anyone has the mini cyclone that Clearvue sells?

I have a few questions about them!

    Thanks
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

What's the URL? I can't seem to find it. I don't need the big one but would be interested in checking out the mini.

My friend has the big 5HP one and it will suck your arm off.

The mini I am talking about, looking at, is the one at the bottom, that you hook to a shop vac.

        Thanks

Looks like the same price though as the larger one which also seems to come with more stuff.

I saw that a while ago. I never seem to get to it, but I've been planning on building my own mini cyclone out of sheet metal for a while. The original designer- who clearvue pays to use his designs- has on his web page full diagrams and instructions on building both a full size and mini cyclone. For $20 worth of materials, I figure it's worth a try...

                Thanks!

Bill Pentz is the designer, and receives credit from Clearvue.

However, when Bill said that they diameter of the cyclone is 3x the diameter of the inlet supply, it got me wondering. His design there is sized for a central vac (what he was using it on). Did the clearvue just take those numbers (apparantly from their site), or did they correct for the larger shop vac hose?

I was asking, because I wanted to verify a measurement.

Has anyone ever tried to make one of these with some PVC fittings and a water cooler jug? Just curious...
